Surely the answer lies in the weight size and other metals alloyed in the gold  Huh Huh it could be a primitive attempt by a tribe starting a gold coinage Huh or a worn coin decorated or embellished whatever like the coin I found a while back photographed by neil described as a lead token by some Grin it,s definately not lead or a token  Roll Eyes  waiting for further Identification by Peter H theres no doubt in my opinion and neil or geoffs that the silures did have coinageof a kind time will tell Smiley mole

I've read that they used coinage of the Dobunni. Is this due to any evidence? The Silures may have had their own coinage but i would have thought more would have turned up if it was in common usage.

there is one more now as i give mine to mark lodwick to recored  Smiley        what if that coin is from the welsh tribe siliruim or something like that you never know it might be the first .which as happend with the tincomarus the discovery of the alton hoard in 1996 came to light staters with the new legend tincomarvs so it could happen if it is its worth£££££££ just something to think about Wink Huh
