good morning everyone

well here's the sum total of our finds -- a lovely roman - which i haven't yet identified [nothing on the reverse, which is totally worn away]

a button, part buckle, and a whotsit

cheers and thx for a great day -- well worth the aches and pains this morning.

Nice report Geoff and I am glad it was a good day. Some good finds and some outstanding finds. Phil,s bronze projectile head is a stunner so well done Phil. Have not got a date for it yet but I am working On Roman, but am checking my books as we speak. A lot of great coins and some nice artefacts to. I spent most of the day at work but I know where I wanted to be so well done all. A great day out.

Not only was the weather great but the vibe and friendship i experienced YET AGAIN from everyone i spoke to speaks volumes for the members of this site, and those who run it . Well done doesn't even come close.
On a personal point for me it was nice to put faces to names i only "speak" to on here.

Roman Ray.....having heard your sad experience with a loss of life there is deffinately a thing called Karma. and if anyone deserves some luck its you mate for your brave actions.
Benny......nice to finally put a face to the name, hope it wont be too long again before we meet.
Pipster.....To be there when you found your first ever coin was as thrilling for me as it was for you mate.
Ozzyhead....seeing your first ever hammered.....you lucky bugger !!!! no stopping you head banging now i bet!
Al handyman and your wife...really nice to have met you both. and see you two on the 2 dayer no doubt.
and all the usual crowd Geoff, Rob, Debs,Leighton,Byron,Phl etc etc Thanks for a great day out!
