As it says above - I missed the Norman coin in my photo taking marathon over the weekend!

Did anyone get a photo of it? Rumour has it that it was a coin of Stephen - I would love to see it. Rare as Hens teeth if thats the case.

I didn't have my camera unfortunately, but it was a 'Watford' type, similar to this. Most likely to be Stephen, but I suppose there's a slim outside chance that it could be Matilda. Ian said he would be recording it with Mark Lodwick at RARE, so he/we should get an ID from Ed Besly next month.

NB this is not the actual coin, but it was similarly struck, with about a third of the coin showing little detail:
