As some of you know I have built a few detectors. If anyone would like to build one that's guaranteed to work read on.

Copy of a whites Surf or a Baraccuda. Built from a kit supplied from Silverdog (google silverdog metal detectors). Project is from the Geotech1 forum (again google)many have been built so design is sorted out.

Depending on how many people are interested if only a couple they can be built in my workshop. More than 2 will have to arrange a few hours in a classroom!. I can arrange hire of a study room but will have to arrange times and day to suit them. I'm in Newport close to M4 study room is in Magor near M4.

You will need some tools soldering iron and wire snips etc. I am not making any money out of it just passing on my interest, and have all the test equipment we could need. Box and any other parts will be purchased from e-bay as required.

Reason for picking a PI is the simplisity of the coil and the electronics nee a minimum of setting up. PM me if you are interested this is open to anybody and will be put up on other forums.

DWB one like this?  If you dig the holes I can find the targets.

Building one from a Russian design that has an Iron Mask, It's long been the ideal for beach a powerfull PI with disc. Also just for you a Magnatometer is almost ready this would show where all the accumulations of black sand are and more.

But I do need to get out more Smiley Smiley  Bob
