Title: Eneloop batteries!! Post by: dingdong on June 18, 2015, 07:01:01 PM Hi,I took delivery of my new ENELOOP rechargeable batteries.
I have charged them up THREE times(haven't used them yet) My concern is,how many times should I charge these batteries prior to using them,or not,the reason for asking is that no instructions were included in the packaging, any help would be greatly appreciated, plus I am out detecting tomorrow.... Post by: Chef Geoff on June 18, 2015, 07:08:05 PM You only have to....well just charge them up, no reason to do it more than once if you haven't used them, as said on your original post on the subject the beauty of the Eneloop is that they don't loose much charge even after being on the shelf for a year.

Yes but it can tell you that it has full voltage but it may have minimal mAh's which means it will be next to useless so is not a reliable test. Title: Re: Eneloop batteries!! Post by: Chainsaw Bampy on June 18, 2015, 08:27:48 PM yes i know but low or no voltage as i said indicates something wrong.you might have high charge reading and voltage drop when in use,thats why it always pays to carry back up batteries in case.if multi meter shows one or two batteries has no or low voltagethen you would take them to use in the detector etc
