I'm pretty sure one of detecting friends found one not long ago - but the problem is - which coins are actually Edward V at all?

If you look at Spink they talk about a short period of about 20 days between the death of Edward IV and a new indenture between Richard III and his mint-master (I think with the sun / rose mint mark) - so they might be of 'Edward V' - it's a bit like the coins of Richard I and John just being continuations of their father's coinage....

I think as Probono says there is no definitive proof that there ever was any coins minted for Edward V, there is a new issue around the time of Edward IV death but whether these were intended for Edward V or just coincide with his accession is probably something we will never know :-\

True........

Its looking like the halved sun and rose mint mark was introduced to represent the new mint master on 12 February 1483 it was employed for Edward IV until his death on 9 April 1483 and then for Edward V until he was deposed by Richard III...... they are selling coins under Edward V with the halved sun and rose, but whether they are who knows?
