Mrs Jones next door was chatting over the fence to my missus the other day.
She told us that Herbert had passed away when he went into the garden to gather some peas.

When my missus sympathised with her at the demise of Herbert the wife said "Oh no !!!!, what did you do then".and Mrs jones said "I opened a tin instead".

Mrs Jones was determined not to be inconvenienced

Oh dear !!! What has been started.

_________________________________________________________________

In school one day as I remeber there was a little puddle near the blackboard. The teache was livid.
"Come out the boy hat has done this" she said.
Nobody admitted that it was done by them.
"Righ then, everyone close their eyes and the person that did this can write his name on the blackboard2.

All the youngsters closed thier eye and the teacher heard the tapping of little feet as the child approached the board and heard scratching of the chalk. The little guy trotted back to his desk and settled down.

"Right, children you can open your eyes now" said the teacher.

On looking down at the floor there was another pool of water and on the board it said 'The phantom piddler strikes again'.

Waht a carry on.
