Post by: ROMAN STEVE on August 15, 2010, 07:57:36 PM recently found a new farm when speaking to the farmer he said a few yrs ago a roman sword was found on the side of the river bank on his farm by 2 walkers he didnt know what to do with it so donated it to the museum the fragment i found today is bronze alloy looks like it would have been pointed at end if you look at broken end you can see shape on it looks like its oval the other item id like id on is approx 1" long grove around centre and a hole in the top i dont think its a spindle
