This Viking Fire Steel was found by a mate. There is remains of iron plate and shows beasts on either side.

Another cracking viking relic SV, the nearest I've come to anything viking is the Yorick centre in York. :D

That is just a lovely piece of metalwork, how would it have been used as a fire steel? Thanks for posting it , got any more?

Hedgehog the iron plate that comes of bottom would been struck against flint to give a spark. It also has a suspension
loop. I have more pictures.
