Title: Detecting underwater
Post by: farmer(phil) on October 03, 2009, 09:52:07 PM
As detectorists, we can talk to each other for hours about our hobby?

It's surprising how many other people are intrested in the hobby and listen (or are they just being polite?)

Another friend of mine then brought into work , what his father found with an underwater detector whilst deep sea diving in the Bristol channel.(some years ago).....and he's never found out what they were!!!!

I printed info off for him

Netherland silver "dollars" and half "dollars"... fore runners of the US dollar. Used as trade coins around 1616

Marvellous condition and such good detail.....i wanted to get the silver paper out and clean them.

As anyone found one of these detecting on land...bound to be dropped sometime
