Title: Towing out in Santa rally.
Post by: alun on December 16, 2014, 05:13:57 AM
Still waiting for a ransom note to arrive for my tow rope and d shackle. Helping a fellow detectorist to get out of the field by towing him, when I only looked away for a minute and it's been taken.
Any news would be appreciated as my work box has never looked the same since. Can't believe it's been taken!!!!!!

Sorry to read about this alun. I hope that the matter is soon cleared up to your satisfaction.

I hope that the person who has the D ring and rope gets in touch with you to make arrangements to return it. I would like to think its a genuine mistake, otherwise its a very sad way to end a succesful rally.

Surely it's got to have been done by accident, no one would have done that on purpose would they ?

You didnt find it after ? Who was it you towed out, I'm sure they've thrown it in the back of their van and forgotten.

Hi Alun,
I'm glad I read this appeal for the return of your towing gear, because I wouldn't like you to think I drove away with it.
Did you tow anyone else out after my Transit Van?, because we left it with the guys in the field until you came back.

Hope someone comes forward.
As GJH said, someone may have without thinking innocently driven off with it  :-\

By the way, many thanks for the tow  ;)

Crisis over

Towing gear mystery solved.
Santa put it in his sack then took it home with him by mistake  ::)
Not saying which Santa, but that's what happened.

Luckily enough, this Santa only lives a few miles from Santa Alun, so they should be reunited in time to spend Christmas together  :D
