Title: Now ! Who's up for a challenge..?
Post by: dingdong on June 23, 2016, 04:27:07 PM
Hi to you all,i have been very fortunate of late with my detecting finds and yesterday was no exception.
This little beauty of a hammered decided to come up for air !!.
Somehow it just looks a bit different!! and it seems to have been well clipped, well, what do you think ?
I also managed a few more Romans, and some other very interesting bit and pieces, but they are enjoying a clean and I will post as soon as successful clean permits, thanks for looking.
Detector: MACRO RACER + Mars 'TIGER' 13"= coil.deep,deep,deep !!!...👍

Is yours the Racer 1 or 2? - I was idly looking at secondhand detectors yesterday and hadn't really appreciated there were two models.

Hi PROBONO many thanks for your comments, wih regard to the Macro RACER,its a MACRO RACER original (1)
The original early Racer's did have their initial teething problems, shafts snapping, coil lugs breaking, but in fairness to MACRO anything found to be faulty replaced free of charge (even now)
The whole problem was with the actual composition of the plastic.
The company employed to  actually produce the plastic components changed the 'mix' and that was what he cause of the problem was,its all sorted out now.
The actual detector is brilliant, its simplicity its self to set up,s as light as a feather, its a very underestimated machine.
And to complement the machine even further,on recommendation i purchased a  MARS 'TIGER' 13" coil, this increased depth to what is already a pretty deep machine.
Take a look at u-tube,some very informative info on there.
Hope this helps.....👍😀

Yes it does :) - you are certainly starting to find some goodies with it, I think the larger coil will help too :)
