For anyone that may be interested...............Flintshire County Council are to introduce parking charges in Talacre.

They aren't the only ones jumping on the band wagon Chris.  There's a little bay near here that was almost inaccessible till the nearest Farmer got pound signs in his eyes.  He opened one of his fields for parking and charged for the privilege all through the Summer.
Likewise, my favourite beach free car park is now charging £1 per hour. Private land again !!!!

Hi Val,

it may be worth asking that farmer if you can detect his car park! I often find coins where people climb in and out of their cars on the Talacre beach car park.

That will be interesting next summer, there should be some traffic problems on station road as no one will want to pay, it's bad enough now.

Mornin Chris,
                        Council say that it's all part of the plan to improve the traffic flow on Station Road. They also say that they are going to provide extra parking areas. The other month, Richie Sixpence and I got stuck by the SanDancer and the whole road was grid locked. Once they have set up the system I bet the dreaded traffic wardens show their faces.

Hi Richie,
                not heard anything lately; better keep an eye on the Flintshire Chronicle. Also heard that they are initiating an anti dog poop patrol. Spotted two guys in black clothing behind the crest of the dune the other week and initially thought that they were birdwatchers, but now assume that they were the anti dog poop patrol!
