I am totally new to this! and i was thinking about going out for my first try on the muddy forshores around Chepstow or Caldicot , Any advise ?

hi rusty the mud here in chepstow..is as dodgy as....very deep .and dangerous...go with some as others have said...but good luck...

just another thought ...the lifeboat people are based at beechy just past the camp...maybe have a natter to them..about where is good /bad etc...

listen to all the sound advice being given, we went to chepstow area  mate got stuck it took two of us to get him out, can be a very dangerouse place,, finds are good also :-\ :-\  mickycoin   ;D ;D

speaking from experience mate be very very careful.the mud can seem like its safe then suddenly give out on you with no warning.take a mate and definatly a mobile phone.memorise the map co ordinates of the area your working just in case.
