told you cant go out detecting untill fireplace built. here are a few pics of my almost finnished tudor style fireplace. We built one when we lived in Shropshire but built ours with re-claimed Tudor bricks and a huge piece of ships oak timber on the top. Nearly drove John crackers. Being an Engineer he insists on everything being perfect to the micro mm. He just wouldn't accept that the 'wobbles' gave it character.
