Not being a expert but having found a similar one a while back I was reliably informed it was medieval. Over to the Doc for this I think.

Alan word of advice ...dont ever be a professional poet  ;D

Silver i think they was attched with chewing gum lol

Im sure if you google medival pot legs something will come up .

At a club rally me and another club member found one each only a few feet apart i heard that another had been found one in the same spot
when we got together after the rally we found out there was totally differant i dont think there was any quality control in them days lol they dropped off all over the place.

looks like to found a good field there coz there must have some habitation there

all the best Phil

Bronze vessel legs are difficult to date closely - generally 13th-17th century range.

He didn't say Much Phil, only that its an unusual one.,  but were i found it i'm sure would have been just in on the edge of a lake at the time,  so to my mind it was an offering to the gods. yeah it has had a bit of use i think Phil.  i think they offered it before it went too far down
will have to wait for the report

He wanted to take Dereks Arrow head in but seeing it wouldnt be back for a few months i thought it best to bring it home and ask Derek 1st

Mark seams to think its a Roman medical Implement Im not so sure theres an identical one in this months treasure hunting and they call it an arrow head
