Title: Lead Curses Post by: herbie on May 29, 2012, 05:28:20 PM Have got a couple of nice examples of these and was wondering how many others had found them and if anyone has ever unrolled one? I haven't tried as yet. These things fascinate me, I know the Romans used them a lot, but they were still in use much later, which I suppose is why it's so difficult to date them. The only way to tell would be to unroll one and see what if anything was written on the inside.

It is always worth opening every folded bits of lead as you never know what you will find inside. If you haven't already read it I would recommend the article by Brian Read in the Searcher April 2012 titled 'It May Not Be What It Appears To Be!'
