Title: Credit where credits due
Post by: Chef Geoff on January 10, 2013, 07:15:05 PM
I know a couple of members have already posted info regarding MSR metal detecting repair. Steve Cox who's business it is, was the UK Minelab service engineer for 10 years before going out on his own last year, He still has the Minelab contract for the UK but will help out with other makes if he can.

OK well my Explorer XS has been in need of a service and a new upper camlock/control housing fitted for well over a year, the Audio had totally disappeared on one channel and altered on two others so, as I was away for a few days I took the opportunity to send Steve "my baby" and get it all sorted out.
I put it in the post last Thursday, special delivery and followed this up with an anxious phone call on Friday morning.....ill timed as he was just on his way out to a funeral :-[
Well I've got to give him his due, Tuesday the machine was back, with everything working as it was the day it was made.
It's great when people go the extra mile on service in this day and age but when this level of service is "standard" then it deserves shouting about.

Fully agree Geoff, a good honest service is what people want there are to many chancers out there robbing people blind. When i enquired about having the keypad replaced on an explorer he replied prompt and the quote was more than reasonable to, shame i never won the machine on ebay lol
