My favorite flint field has recently had the stuble turned.
A nice little collection for a hour before tea

Well, 1 could be a core. 2 could be a scraper. 3 & 4 can't tell from pici's.

That is def. a residential site. Any I've found have been classed as temp. sites.

Love them better than anything else Ive found.

One of the dozen or so rock crystals I picked up in one field where I also found some micro's.  I had this romantic idea that they were the treasured  possesions of a little Neolitic girl. They were all in a small area and had been turned over by the plough. First time that field had ever been ploughed in living history according to the Farmer.
Seems they came from the by the old Severn bridge and I live by Tenby so they certainly travelled.
They looked fantastic shining in the Sun.

Val, I have heard of a theory that finding quartz / crystal in the same location as flints could indicate a burial mound. The mounds where decorated with quartz so they could be seen at a distance.
This is similar to the way the Egyptian pyramids where initially finished in brilliant white stone.

Hi Eric
How strange. I found one almost identical though much bigger. Common concensus of opion was that it was natural but I kept it just in case. I'm not convinced.

This is one example I found that is very similar. There is also a very good one on the Colchester site.

Hi Meatslicer, your stone has the appearance of a polished ceremonial axe from the view presented. If you could put up a side view it might help confirm or not. I realise that it has come from the beach and may be 'water-rolled' but i have seen quite a few whilst identifying flints and stones for an archaeologist friend. I hope it is an axe. Regards AJS

lovely selection of axes there guys, I have yet to find one or fragments whilst field walking, I always check field edges  there is a possibility that in the past axes would have been discarded there when the fields were de-stoned by hand (usually by children)
