Post by: Dale on March 31, 2014, 09:36:19 PM
I had a hour out this evening hunting on a bit of farm land what produces hammereds but I am in a serious hammered drought at the moment :'( same land but its just not producing :D but that's detecting.

I thought id show the best of the finds, 2 silvers, a possible strap end? and a little pinhead, but in not sure of age........any help would be great :)

I was thinking the same about the patina, I dug up some larger copper alloy items and they to had a lovely dark patina........ The land has had all types of fertiliser over the years even lime, and one year it was even injected with animal blood.
