Title: Norman Sword or Dagger pommel Post by: avalon on March 06, 2012, 09:01:15 AM Found another bit of Noman yesterday, what looks like a sword or dagger pommel. It could have had a coat of arms on the raised section, but it's too worn to work out what it was.

This one has no thread and has a raised section which could be a shield with either a letter m or 2 birds on it. So I need to research pommels from that period, see what comes up. Also found a Stephen penny and Henry 1 on the same site over the last few years.
