A big   THANKYOU   to all the organisers of todays rally.

I don't manage to get to many but it's always a pleasure and a special treat when I do. Once again I managed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time (sigh) so didn't find much to shout about. It was enough that at least there were plenty of signal to dig, plenty of lovely people to talk to and it didn't rain.

John and the dogs are zonked, poor things  Roll Eyes but I think on the quiet they enjoyed the day as well.

Val

p.s. John was heard to mutter something about £1400 to find 6d but I pretended not to hear. Grin

I'll second that Val, a very big thank you to the organisers, I enjoyed the day. I managed a couple of tokens and a couple of coppers.

Totally shattered by the time I got home.

Yep - I'll second that - a huge thank you to the organisers...I had a great day on my second rally.

I found a George III penny (and some buttons and miscellaneous dross), which is small fry to all you seasoned detectorists but to newbie me, it was an epic step forward in actually finding things!

Roll on the next rally! I'm hooked.

It was a good day, bit windy in the afternoon, but a great day out, only managed a lead token myself, but very please with it as I like finding tokens Smiley

It was nice to meet with everyone again and the dog enjoyed his walk Smiley

Got the following text from the Farmer and his wife last night when I got home, thought I'd share it with everyone as it was very nice of them to get in touch :

"Thank you for coming today to our farm, it was lovely to have such a nice bunch of people enjoying themselves !  Hope you all enjoyed it. Best Wishes Sarah and Lew"

I thought that was great and good for DW.  Well done guys Smiley
