MAD COWS EAT METAL DETECTORISTS !!!🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂

« on: November 03, 2015, 06:04:05 PM »

Hi to all,a few days ago I went out to my usual well detected haunts, had the usual bits and pieces, lead,a couple of non -discript coins,a bit a bronze pot,and what I thought was an aluminium/tin lid,it wasn't until yesterday that I decided to  sort out the finds into the various scrap buckets,I couldn't believe my eyes when I washed the "tin-lid" that in actual fact it was silver, its the back off a fob watch,
If you take a good close up look it gives numbers, also, some initials have been hand scratches(on inside of case)
Now all I've got to remember is what part of the field I found it.
Thanks for looking👍

Blimey Chris good job it wasn't me, I don't save Aluminium, just chuck it in the bin.  Roll Eyes  Nice find, now you just got to find the rest of the watch.

Well found DD, The scratched numbers and initials are the watch menders initials and sometimes dates of when the watch was repaired or serviced
