Title: Re: bronze Post by: Chef Geoff on August 26, 2015, 07:15:28 PM Wow Paul that's something a bit special isn't it :o does the hand belong to the statue ie the right scale, undoubtedly Roman and given the Snake I would say it's a depiction of Hercules fighting the river God Archelous, that is or was the common depiction of human/snake interaction. Lovely find well done ;)
