Hi all
I have loads of sixpences coins I have found over the last month daring from 1816 up to 1960's when did silver stop.

1946 was the last year silver was used in british coinage other than proofs or sets

And after 1919 they are only 50% ;)

Then like chef said 50 percent until 1946 i think onwards is copper nickel  >:(

just looked up someone commented on my question about silver, so here it is.
coins from 1920 onwards were 50% silver after 1946 it was the copper nickel rubbish we have today.
