Hi all
My names Archie and I am a metal detector (oops sorry wrong meeting)
I have only recently taken up detecting, I was taken detecting by a friend, and soon got hooked.  He gave me his spare garrett 250, and I must say that i love finding stuff with an age to it.  I have always loved history, and only on my second outing found a bronze age lump of slag,i was chuffed to realise it was probably 3000 yrs old.
I live, and detect in mid wales on the borders, so there are lots of roman areas of interest, that dont really seem to have been researched that much, so you never know what you will find next Grin
