Dug this up on Monday morning have cleaned it up made of brass and copper, with running stick men  and had been plated gold, thought it was a womans hair slide but the wife told me i was just being stupid Huh

well i think its a bun holder and i was female last time i looked so i think you are right.it looks modern arts and crafts .I used to have something similar.
you would gather your hair back and it would go on the back on your head thats why its curved.there would be a pin that would fix it to the hair.
