The ring was found , and returned to the owner who lost it 2 weeks previous to my finding it. Needles to say she was delighted to have it returned. What a great hobby. The owner tells me they are 1ct diamonds, and the value was $15000 Canadian Dollars. The owner must of been so worried at first! The lady was playing with her finger on a boardwalk overlooking the grassy part of the beach when it came off. It was 2 weeks later when I found it for her, she was almost ready to claim the insurance. The story should be a write up in the next US MDI. Thanks for looking. Shes a lucky lady Many would have pocketed that beauty. A few weeks ago me and few mates went to Aberavon and a few youngsters ask one of our party if he could look for a Ring that one of them had lost . I could see by the looks on there face,s it was a prank ! I Hope there isnt going to be a craze of kids tricking Detectorists. I,ll defo use that tip next time were on the beach with my buddys kids i cant stand then.
