Title: barry,tuesday pre-decimal bonanza
Post by: tosser on December 20, 2013, 07:11:15 PM
Hi guys,
Went to barry for some night time detecting on sunday cos there was a lot of black sand around didn't find much apart from a small gold plated ring
Went back for more on tuesday searched the same area but there was too much sand so carried on down the beach to where i got an overwhelming amount of signals, first to come was a 1920 thrupenny bit then followed(in no particular order)3 halfpennys(2 vickys) 1948 florin(close but no cigar) 1923 half crown and a 1917 thrupenny bit :) this sweet spot was giving more but the tide was rushing in and didn't have my diving gear lol.
All in all a great days detecting only wish i found the spot earlier huh
