3 romans , the largest looks silver / washed silver , all from the same small field

reading around the edge of the obverse, you can make out CONSTANTINUS.

still waiting for better photos,plus the otherside of the coins.
these coin have come out really tidy ,the other stuff is pretty corroded.

Oh I missed this post, not sure how as I've been waiting to see them Huh Excellent result Mike and I can guarantee there is more there, just go super slow and dig anything that sounds low enough to be silver paper.
They are all from the House of Constantine so the first half of the 4thC. If it's similar to all the other sights from around this period, you should find alot more coins in the same small area Wink

I can't really add any more other than they all appear to be of Constantine himself so 307-337AD. Can you read the mints? The silver is no doubt "washed" as there were no silver coins issued under Constantine other than one recorded Miliarense. Though there are hundreds of "silvered" coins on record which makes you wonder if, given the amount, they were officially sanctioned.
