i got a 50 cal mortar tailfin from my mams garden.how did that get there?
 a guy 3 doors up from me found a load of cannon balls in his garden whilst digging it over 20 years ago.wierd whats in the funniest places  :)

I found a Charles 1st farthing and a cast bronze figure of a man in armour on a horse that looks like Charles 1st  ;)
later this week I'm digging out a 15x15 foot area and I'm dying to get the detector on it again. ;D

What gets me is the statement that they will have to see if the guy gets any compensation!!! Surely he is entitled to whatever they are worth?
