Found a nice buckle and millions of shotgun cartridges, burnt to a frazzle but lots of good company and a great day out. Cheers all.

Absolutely knackered after two rallies in two days. got my first crotal bell in pillerton priors on sunday so well pleased all in all.

Well done Seasider - it looks even more ornate now its cleaned up. A well taken photo as well. Any chance of a photo of the back of it as well to help with trying to date it?

A great find!

That has come up beautifully and I would have to agree that it does have an Elizabethan look about it, excellent result.
That's this years holiday paid for then Grin

It has come up well. Would like to see some more pics from different angles if possible. Here is Seasider litterally 15 minutes before his find looking well happy.

Thanks guys - really enjoyed myself as has come to be expected (hate myself for now taking things for granted).  Missed my usual siesta though due to those mating fly things!!!  Just when I thought at approx 1pm that I'd just sit back and take in some rays for the rest of the day after lunch, there were hundreds of the damn things on my chair and two landed in my sandwich (well they died happy I guess).  That put paid to any more eats but managed to get some liquid (carefully covering the can with one hand between slurps)   Hanging around Steve's car was now out of the question so plodded on detecting in the heat for the afternoon.  OMG that ring is something else eh?  Really in awe of Pete's pendant as well - really apt find for Easter   Cool
