Title: An add-on for this website failed to run...
Post by: The Doc on July 04, 2011, 06:06:37 PM
Had this message on Internet Explorer when on the forum today:

"An add-on for this website failed to run. Check the security settings in Internet Options for potential conflicts"

I have Windows XP, IE8.

What is the add-on that failed to run and is it of any significance?

I only ever use Mozilla Firefox after a computer security expert recommended it to me 18 months ago.

I've never had any problems with it and recommend it to others.

Ps. My missus had to bake a fresh lot of pasties tonight after you scoffed my last quota!

As an expert, what are your marks out of 10. She waiting to hear!  ;D

Check the pop up settings in IE Peter. Sometimes the pop up blocker setting can cause faults in script handling. I use firefox these days only because it doesnt have a problem handling university database access like IE. Some of the settings in firefox can be a bit fiddly but flash earth is quicker than Google earth when using it.

They were excellent Bob, with loads more filling than shop-bought corned beef pasties. Tell Mrs RJM 9.5 out of 10  :)

They're best served hot. May be a 10 then!  ;D

She does a wicked adult trifle but it's not advisable to drive after enjoying it!  ;D

Never mind, you and Gwil will have all the pies and pasties at the Scan meeting seeing as they're
limited to committee members only.  ;)

Please can you open the buffet before Ken gets up to talk as last time the sarnies had gone stale
around the edges!  ;D
