Ok this will be held on the same fields as the last rally. However, the farmer is going to be disking these fields and will allow us to do a more thorough search where the stubble was too long last time.

Ok Update on fields for Week Sunday. By the rally, we will have all available fields disked, including the Roman field. stubble should all be gone by then (Farmer)

Happy days, come on then guys , get yer names down.

So gutted to be missing the return.
Fantastic site a real must for those who are available to go.
One of the fields in particular will without doubt return some hammered coins.
Would not be surprised if either a small hoard or some gold comes out of that field.
Must have been a landing point.

Hi Rob,
I live in Llantwit Major and would very much like to attend the rally at Gileston.
I'm a complete novice and dont as yet have a detector.
I thought since you were right on my door step, it would give me the opportunity to see what it's all about and get some first hand advice.

Regards

Alright Dawsie

I live in llantwit major too, I can't make the rally on Sunday as I'm on nights but I went to the last one and found a token and Jews harp and some other bits. It was a good day out and well worth going too. I could you lend you my dads fisher 1225-x for the day if you want so you can have a go.

well if you were 2 milermeters tall you would drown which is a bad thing , however if you were 6 milermeters tall you would survive which is a good thing , a further however ..........the average human is approximately 1750 milemeters tall so dont worry you should be ok  Smiley Smiley Smiley unless of course your an ant , then you would be in deep s#'t , and water  Wink Wink

I just saw the weather report for Sunday and it said heavy rain is forecast, seeing that it is a very good area it would be a shame to miss the chance to go back for a second time,I don't suppose there is any chance of bringing it forward to Saturday ? just a thought.

Weather forecasts more than two days ahead are rarely accurate.
