Title: puzzle button and coin Post by: b.buoy on December 14, 2014, 08:06:34 PM Found both of these today. Would like to know more about the button and why the farthing looks like its dated 1690 something but if correct, why isn't the head William and Mary

It is William mary, its a double bust.

Its got me really keen to identify it now. It was in the same field as the William farthing and a couple of Georgian halfpennies and an enormous rifle ball. I only scanned it for the pic I used here. I might take a decent camera pic where I can mess about with the shadows etc :-\ |
