Thanks for organising guys, I enjoyed the day out again, although I only came up with a modern 2p piece, it was bl**dy cold though  Grin  I only stopped till midday as DaveHa &  I decided to make the most of the day off and take a trip to Regtons, always a bad idea as I end up spending money Sad   There'll be some shiney detectors on the for sale area just as soon as I can bring myself to decide what I need to part with, my trusty GMP will be one of the first casualties for sure though as I came back with a shiney new Deus Smiley   Well 2 in fact...    Looking forward to the next rally, I'd like to get closer to that iron age hill fort for sure... It was a cracker !

Congrats to the birthday guys and I hope Pipster's wedding goes or went to plan Smiley

Here's a couple of incriminating photos from Pipsters detecting Stag do :

Here's the few bits I managed to pull out. What looks like some type of brooch, remains of a clothing fastener and a whazit. Not the best finds but still enjoyed the day in a beautiful location,

Hi guys and thanks for allowing me to join your forum.

I just wanted to pop on and thank you for last Saturdays Dig.

I was invited down from Reading by your Member MarkyMark and his wife, I am LadyLucks partner Ray.

I would like to say that you held a very well run dig, very informative and the members I met were very friendly towards My wife Kelly and I.

The finds I had were not much to write home about but I was trying out my new F75, This beast is going to take a bit of taming.

I am one of the founder members of the BMDC (Berkshire Metal Detectorists Club) and seeing as you were very kind to us, we would like to invite you to join us on one of our future digs up here in Berkshire. I will be in touch with admin to make arrangements for a future date.

Thanks again for your kindness.

Ray.

Thats very kind of you Ray - Glad you found us a friendly bunch and sorry for it being quiet on the finds front. As you know though thats the way these things go sometimes.

All the best and welcome on board.
