My day started off with a electric shock from the fence soon as i got out of my car, then 30 mins ov detecting batteries went dead, put the other new ones in and they was dead 2, I had only baught the batts hour before the rally to.

as for the coin, i'll bow to your expert knowledge, .. i can't make out the outline but if the head faces right, its george 1 or 3, but if it faces left its george 2 or 4.

hopefully nobby will post his george 2 find later, for you to see.

It was a few of the guys that had a look at it said it was probably a george penny, im just happy i found it after my coil was put the right way round !! and finally put on the right setting with some help from the guys lol

good day, i had fun. didn't find anything but i think can can be put down to inexperience ad much as bad luck! i hope to be luckier next time and at least i got to see some nice finds Geoff's hammered was nice  Smiley

Not the best start on a D.W, rally of 2012 for me i did find a barrel key and a bit of a thimble , but Jo stole the show with her florin and even with her detector playing up , mark took the cup with is mystery find and i got the pink pig, great to catch up with folks again on the rally and what another good turn out on a very cold day but nice and sunny. a few shots from the rally...............
