Had a nice day too! Cheers to Paul for the land ;DBeachboy(Viv)'s roman coin had to be a Denarius despite the colour. Think its a Marcus Aurelius one. Would be interested to know if it cleaned up well.

Great day out and I "found nothing" !!   I did find a lead soldier without a head or feet - lol

The weather was lovely and it was great catching up with everyone and beautiful views.

Great day out on Saturday, thanks to everyone.  With reference to the 'thingy me bob' we found, someone
suggested it might be something like a cloak or cape fastener which does seem to fit as there are 2 round fittings on the back which might have housed a pin and the chain links may have been more numerous at one time and would 'hook' onto a small butonny thing on the opposite side of the cloak? Would welcome
opinions on this please  Undecided

That's interesting NFL - that leafy looking thing top middle - I think I must have found the other half or it's pair.  I was wondering what it was?

A couple of ID's on the coins. The groat is Henry VI annulet issue. Stephen's James shilling is a shilling, but is Charles I  Smiley

Glad you enjoyed yourself Gijan - just right click on the photo with your mouse and it will give you the option save picture.

Failing that PM me your email address and I can send it to you - glad you liked it.

Cheers
