another  one of my finds from uffington i think it is a roman bird brooch correct me if i am wrong,all the  finds i post i will put in the gallery as well.

That's very nice colin. 2nd century bird brooch, similar to Nos. 1155 and 617 in Hattatt's book.

i did not scan the back max there are two hooks for a pin but thats missing,cheers pete for the i.d. again.
