What are the advantages/disadvantages of doing this please?

I assume if it's set up right what it means is you dig all the high tones and ignore all the low tones. Would save a lot of digging if that's the case but dangerous I'd say. You never know what you'd miss.

Thanks Dean Ps the guy was talking about beach detecting I run it with pattern 1 and only one tone. this means the discrim cuts out the low tones anyway and not having to split the tones means the machine is faster and i dig everything that beeps |
