I just thought some of you CTX guys mite be interested in the latest program downloaded from MLO forum   Roll Eyes Well this new program of Gordon’s is a cracker, yesterday I found myself going over an early Roman site with the occasional Celtic popping up including a Dobunic Gold Stater of Bodvoc  (retrograde) 5 years ago, well that was until the ploughing stopped 5 years since, and the farmer started min-till cultivation, since then finds has been harder to come by year on year. I don’t mind saying I have struggled with the tadpole 2 /ghost programs just because the Iron gives high pitch and Non-ferrous low grunts, this new program however is the opposite Iron low and dig the high targets, sure you hear all the Iron as its all metal, but the program combined with the 17” coil is awesome every signal I dug was very deep some of the lead was below the plough level at 14”-15” sure I never found anything of  great interest 3 broken brooches,  a couple of grots, but rest assured this is the program for me from now on and will keep you updated of anything of interested  found, as soon as I get a chance I will run it over my medieval field as it is awaiting the plough and is in stubble.  Wink Wink

Oooooow  Paul watch out for repercussions on that. You make the bullets and he'll fire them  Roll Eyes

Very impressed, again.  That Brooch is stunning and something I'll never find but............I did find a very nice pot mend. Amazing how they all look the same from wherever you find them.
