Hi all, new to this forum but not to detecting. I am an Englishman living in Scotland and a member of  Detecting Scotland. Been detecting over 30 years on and off. Started in the 1970's with a Best Q-tone, went on to a Garrett GTX 500, then a Whites DFX and at present swinging a Whites V3i.

Hi Grumpyjohn,

Welcome to an excellent Forum. There's something for everyone on here and lots of knowledgeable people to give advice etc. Can't recall that detector but my first was a C-scope Ib3oo. Presently using an Explorer XS with an XP Goldmaxx for backup.
