This is an interesting little story. Someone's been a naughty boy organising a rally without the farmers permission.

Interesting read

It sounds to me Fred like the organisers did get away with it and left the detectorists to face the farmers wrath.

Did anyone attend this?

Sounds like the Work of that Guy who did something simliar last year I cant remeber his name Bymatt might remember.it was all in the Detecting Mags
He had permission to hold a rally on a farm but neglected to tell anyone that he didnt have permission for the rest of the land they was using.

When people went to complain he,d done a running with all the money.

It is the same rally Phil, it was the Malton rally held last April and organised by Jim Pincher, Not the first one he had organised that went pear shaped.
