Title: Mongrel Post by: hedgehog on November 25, 2008, 10:15:01 AM Hello all, I don't technically live in Wales (I live in Weobley near Hereford), did live in Llandrindod for a few years where I brought up my three children on my own , a son (english) and two daughters (welsh). Because I couldn't work due to my situation then I did have a great time detecting, and on reflection the finds that I made up there were of better quality than they are down here simply because it was rare for any of the land to be cultivated.
I suppose I am saying although you will find less in Wales persevere because most of what you find will be in good condition compared to any cultivated areas. I work in Social care at the moment and hoping to take a degree course in social work next year ( can't take the battering for much longer, have worked for four years with challenging behaviour). Prior to that I was window cleaning for 4 years, good money but fell off the ladder a couple of times. I am 52 and have been detecting since someone showed me a hammered coin 25 years ago, my dream would be to not have to work and detect when I felt like it , love being out in the fields. Best wishes to all. Steve (aka hedgehog) Title: Re: Mongrel Post by: PHIL YNYSBOETH on November 25, 2008, 10:22:04 AM Wecome to the Detecting wales forum Steve !
