Title: Latest searches Post by: celticspikey on January 12, 2017, 12:08:11 PM Hi guys, I've had a few trips since christmas although I've had to settle for pasture mainly due to heavy and wet field conditions, however here are a few of my search results, the old roman sestertius came up well deep although in bad condition, the 2 loom weights are from a roman site and came up next to each other. The eddy penny was a welcome hammy, from a well worked pasture field. ;)

Title: Re: Latest searches Post by: probono on January 16, 2017, 03:52:46 PM Well, just to start, the Sestertius is of Trajan.
The Eddy is in great condition - at least class 10 as it is bifoliate, London Mint btw My favourite of this batch is the first belt buckle - the kind of thing that is undervalued (as far as artefacts go), but really nice a personal item of someone. I to like the these buckles especially with decoration as this one has, yes crude but as you say a personal touch.
