Title: waterlogged machine

i was detecting in the wiltshire rain today all was going well then late afternoon i stopped getting signals when i checked penny under the coil it was dead so after a bit of fidling i went over to all metal and it worked swopped back to disc nothing. does anyone know how long they take to dry out or has anyone still got problem's with their machine since it's dryed out

I have had this problem before with one of my Whites machines but I found that it could be cured with a hairdryer but not on the "Hot" setting!

the most popular suggestion i've read is to put it in the airing cupboard for a while mike.....good luck....byron

I always find a carrier bag placed over the control box helps in th rain.
