Title: Re: ANOTHER COIN Post by: simon c on April 23, 2009, 08:54:39 PM Look's like a George 1st farthing or half penny Digga, dated1723 .might have had sentimental value for her,as for value now as far as farthings go they are quite collectable and get better prices than a lot of the other Georgian copper coins. There was a 1723 farthing rarity in that the R in Rex was stamped on it's side ? yours shows kings head but looks like the letter's are worn away so i can't see anything.See what Peter thinks, hope this helps.
Title: Re: ANOTHER COIN Post by: The Doc on April 23, 2009, 09:35:48 PM Nice coin Digga. I don't think I can add to your ID simon, except to say that if it's about 23mm it's a farthing and if it's 27mm it's a halfpenny.
