Nice to find croatal bells . took a long time before I found mine . Interesting " W " marking on the picture , I wonder if this was the maker or the farmers initial

Nice ones , the W relates to the Wells family who used to make them, interesting link here always finding bits of copper wire, nice spoon too!

Nice finds, was the bell found in wales? I've only found half of one which was similar in design and size to the one you've found.

Did you by chance find the " bell" in the hedgerow ? All the croatal bell finds I have heard of come this area , probably as the animals are rubbing against the hedges or trees , as they do .

mmmmmm cotal bells!!! Never even found a part of one.

The closest I have got to one is the one Borderfox has amusingly leant me until I can find my own. Some dream of gold, some dream of hoards - I dream of crotal bells. My day will come! Oh, and it has to be a Welsh find! ::)
