Hi Rob,
Welcome to the site. Is everyone on the Isle of Man called Rob? So far 100 percent of our members from the Isle of Man have that name  Grin

hi guys thanks for the warm welcome. the forum is spot on really friendly people.iwill try and
answer all your questions
hi zorro the T2 is a brilliant machine to use it is light to use no sore arms uses 4x penlight battery's approx 40 hours use, it is a  deep seeking and very sensitive machine as trys said excellent machine.
Al,Thepastfinder your right mate once you start detecting its in your blood. yes the beach is 20 secs away but to stony at high water and to busy at low at all times of the year. hoping to try some of your welsh beaches in may over for 2 weeks.
dickle  we would love to hold a rally over here but the cost of getting here is expensive, for me to come over in may, mid season is £240.00 on the boat alone so does not make it that cheap you would need to be like spooyt vane and be finding plenty gold and silver. i think i have answered every one for now so catch you all latter cheers rob
