Unfortunately, there were few entries again in Finds of the Year. These are all worthy winners, but we will need to think of a better way to encourage more members to have a go next year.

Pre-1700 Coin - John Handleigh - Saxon Penny of Harold I

Post-1700 Coin - No entries

Pre-1200 Artefact - John Pugh  - Bronze Age Dress Fastener

Post 1200 Artefact - Pat Good - 15th Century Crescent-type Inscribed Strap-end

Beach Find - No entries

Display of the Year - John Pugh - Roman Finds in Wales

The winner of the Mike Rogers Trophy for the Most Significant Find of the Year will be announced next month.

Pictures of the finds are in the Scan Club Gallery here. Click once to enlarge and click again to fill the screen:

Hi peter

What our clubs doing to encourage members to show there finds and compete in Find of the month Is offer a years subscription to the detecting Mag of your choice. searcher or treasure hunting.
Its worked very well, theres a massive increase in finds being put forward and its added a lot more interest for new Members being able to handle some amazing finds

all the best Phil
